STOP CARTEL is the distinctive title of the Cartels and Monopolies Victims Association, established in Athens Greece, Nov 2006.
STOP CARTEL is a Non- Profit Organization.
It was initiated due to the need to confront the consequences, which are suffered by the Victims of Cartels and Monopolies. - Horizontal price fixing is a Crime! -
Victims are not only the directly involved businessmen, who highly suffer the consequences of illegal practices and violations of the Antitrust Laws by members of Cartels and Monopolies.
Victims are all the citizens, as consumers and taxpayers, who suffer the consequences of the high cost of living, that occur due to the uncontrolled actions of members of Cartels and Monopolies.
Until the establishment of STOP CARTEL there was not Organization dedicated to an unbound aggressive antitrust policy in Europe. - Abuse of Dominant position is a Crime! -
As natural founders and bearers of such an Organization could not be anyone else but citizens who have suffered directly the consequences of illegal criminal actions by members of Cartels and Monopolies to the highest degree.
STOP CARTEL as a pioneer Organization acknowledges the role of the Scientists, Lawyers, Economists and other Technocrats, in the formation of the existing Competition Law and the Antitrust Principles and Regulations internationally.
STOP CARTEL comes as a helper and fellow to them. Also to the Politicians with sincere political will and commitment to the prevalence of the principles of Competition. - A merger is not always innocent! -
Simultaneously though, it checks the functions of the Authorities involved in the enforcement of the Antitrust principles.
STOP CARTEL constitutes the counterweight to the drastic influences of sophisticated unions etc, well funded by large corporations, devised to have continuous public presence and interventions so to "educate" the public, distorting the free market economic theories into monstrous intemperate ideologies of economic immunity.
STOP CARTEL believes that Competition serves the most vital interests of the citizens. Represents a unique Public Interest Voice, devoted to their defense.
STOPCARTEL Organization is governed by a seven-member Board of Directors.
