This Commentary discusses how the role of competition law or antitrust law often has been misunderstood by transitional economies as a means to create economic growth.
Transitional economies that have
sustained high rates of growth in the past three decades have done so by
successfully competing in global export markets. Having established
competitive industries these countries are now in a position to
strengthen their developing market economies by the establishment of
effective competition laws.This Commentary discusses how the role of
